Garden furniture delivery firms look set to be kept busy in the coming months, as a new study has demonstrated the popularity of such items as an online search term.
Stephen Robertson, director of the British Retail Consortium (BRC), picked out the garden furniture as one of the top ten areas for internet searches and noted how it is clear evidence of how people's web behaviour alters across the seasons.
The BRC-Google Online Retail Monitor showed that total retail search volumes climbed by 27 per cent during the second quarter of the year, which suggests delivery teams are likely to have plenty of orders to complete.
Mr Robertson added: "The star performer is mobile, with the number of retail searches being carried out on smart phones and tablets more than trebling for this quarter compared with the same period last year."
