Without entering the political debate, let’s all sincerely hope that the incumbent of No.10 on the 7th May will actually take a serious look at the road transport industry’s Transport Manifesto.
The transport manifesto was drawn up at a summit of trade association leaders and has won the backing of the RHA, FTA, CILT to name but a few of the industry leading voices. The manifesto contains excellent & common sense proposals, that are both feasible and practical and that will aid our currently ailing industry – see www.roadtransport.com/election2010. Now what is needed is for someone to take up these ideas and actually DO something…….

On Monday the 25th of January, 4 members from our DHD team are making the trip up to the Interiors show, at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. Spanning 4 days, the exhibition draws businesses from all over the country, keen to meet potential customers or suppliers, and discuss new business opportunities for 2010.
Our team enter offering, amongst other services, a ‘white glove’ 2 man home delivery service, specifically designed for the furniture and upholstery market.
Although the event was held back in December, with the new website going live, we felt it a good time to post up some background information for the event and some muddy pictures of the day.
The Motor Neurone Disease Association is a cause very close to both DHD Direct Home Delivery, and parent company Cranleigh Freight Services. Our chairman Colin Young MBE among other charity commitments is the president of the Cranleigh branch of the association and has been giving continued support for a number of years.
